Your Fly Guide
Lake Fork, Texas
You may have heard his name, seen his face, or recognize his voice, Alex Guthrie has been a fixture in the Dallas media landscape since the early 2000’s. A radio personality for 15 years and currently a vodcaster (video podcaster) and host of Remodel Revolution on Facebook, Alex has an international following and is a recognized broadcaster in his own right.
After nearly 40 years as a respected Remodeling Contractor in the DFW Metroplex he felt it was time to pursue his dream and share his passion for fly fishing on Lake Fork.
Never one to shy away from challenges, Alex began fly fishing on Lake Fork nearly 20 years ago. A rare sight indeed, fly fishing on Lake Fork is not for the faint of heart. Hard work and intense rewards is the payoff, the odd stares and silly remarks for being a little different is always a bonus.
35 years of fishing on Lake Fork has brought Alex to the pinnacle of his fishing experience, as a fisherman and a nature lover. Wanting to share his knowledge of the lake’s wildlife and the art of the fly has driven him to this point in time.
Alex has fished all over the western United States, Florida, and Alaska for many different species and many different techniques. Fishing has been in his blood his entire life.
